Editor’s note: The following 2015 first quarter report from ST Sociedad de Tasación analyzes current Spanish housing trends and calculates a confidence index for the Spanish real estate market.

The evolution of prices of new residential properties in Spain is still experiencing a negative trend, but the decrease in prices is lower than the price appreciation that occurred  one year ago. During the second half of 2014, house prices remained virtually unchanged compared to prices in the first half of the year. The data from the second half of last year seem to confirm the implications from the previous quarter that home prices in Spain have bottomed out. The forecast for coming months suggests stability in house prices.
